Ben McAdoo was fired today as the head coach of the New York Giants. The move had been speculated for sometime and all that was left to wonder about was if it would happen during the season or after. With the Giants sitting at 2-10, and having just lost to the Oakland Raiders, ownership felt it was time for a change and fired their head coach and also their general manager on the same day.

Ben McAdoo’s first NFL coaching job was with the Saints when he was hired in 2004 to be the team’s offensive quality control coach.

Ben McAdoo has coached with or for NFL head coach Mike McCarthy while with the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers.

Number 17!

When he was hired in 2016, Ben McAdoo was the 17th head coach in New York Giants history.

That First Win!

Ben McAdoo got his first win as the head coach of the New York Giants, and his first win as a head coach ever, on September 11, 2016 when the Giants beat the Cowboys on the road in the season opener.

The first team to beat a Ben McAdoo led Giants team was the Washington Redskins in the third game of the 2016 season.
