Joakim Noah came out of the University of Florida with a lot of expectations, as well as a lot of question marks. He’s shown though that he not only belongs in the NBA, but that he is a formidable force in the league too. Here are five fun facts about this great player.

24 Points Per Game!

Joakim Noah averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds per game during his senior year of high school.

Two In Three Seasons

In three full seasons of college basketball, Joakim Noah attempted just two three point shots while at the University of Florida, making one.

The Highest Ever

When the Bulls picked Joakim Noah with the ninth overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft it made it the highest any three college teammates had ever been taken in an NBA Draft. His teammate Al Horford was picked third overall by the Hawks and teammate Corey Brewer was chosen with the seventh pick by the Timberwolves.

The First Double Digit Game

Joakim Noah’s first double digit game in the NBA was had against the Nuggets in the sixth game of his pro career.

The 6th Ever!

The third triple double of Joakim Noah’s career came against Philadelphia and saw him score 23 points, grab 21 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots. He was the sixth player in NBA history to score 20+ points, grab 20+ rebounds, and block 10+ shots in a game. The first five were Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Elvin Hayes, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, and Shawn Bradley.
