In honor of the Miami Heat winning a back to back NBA Championship, here is a look at five fun facts about this title winning team.

The Big 4?

Most of the attention on the Heat is deservedly placed on the Big 3: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. Who joined them as one of the four players on the team to average in double figures over the course of the season? Ray Allen who averaged 10.9 points per game to go along with LeBron’s 26.8, Wade’s 21.2, and the 16.6 of Bosh.

Longtime Teammates

Two players on the 2012-13 Miami Heat roster were actually teammates in college too. Small forward Mike Miller and power forward Udonis Haslem spent the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 seasons as members of Billy Donovan’s Florida Gators.

The Oldest And The Youngest

Of the 18 players who suited up for the Heat over the course of the season, 13 were born during the 1980s and five during the 1970s. Those oldsters left over from the 70s included Ray Allen, Chris Anderson, Shane Battier, Juwan Howard, and Rashard Lewis. The oldest player on the Heat during the 2012-13 season was Juwan Howard. The youngest was Josh Harrellson.

The only Heat player to miss every three point shot he took during the 2012-13 postseason was Rashard Lewis who was 0 for 4 from behind the line.

Mario Chalmers led the Miami Heat in personal fouls with 196 during the 2012-13 regular season. This worked out to about 2.5 personal fouls per game for him. In the 2012-13 postseason, Chalmers again led the Heat in personal fouls with 70, bumping himself up to a 3.0 per game average.
