DeSean Jackson is one of the most exciting players in the NFL. You just never know what’s going to happen when he gets his hands on the ball. Here is a look at five fun facts about this great wide receiver.

7th Overall

DeSean Jackson was drafted in 2008 by the Eagles with the 49th overall pick. There were six wide receivers taken before him: Donnie Avery, Devin Thomas, Jordy Nelson, James Hardy, Eddie Royal, and Jerome Simpson.

First 100 Yard Game

DeSean Jackson had his first 100 yard game in his very first NFL game. On September 7, 2008, in a 38-3 Philadelphia win over the Rams, he caught six passes for 106 yards.

Three Different Types!

DeSean Jackson scored each of his first three touchdowns in a different way. His first NFL touchdown came on a 22 yard pass from Donovan McNabb. His second touchdown came on a 68 yard punt return. His third touchdown then came on a nine yard run.

47 Yards!

The first time DeSean Jackson caught a pass in the NFL it was good for a 47 yard gain. It was thrown to him by Donovan McNabb and he was tackled by Tye Hill of the Rams.

More Than Anyone Else

The 2010 season saw DeSean Jackson lead the NFL by averaging 22.5 yards per reception.
