In his first at bat playing for the Mayaguez Indios in Puerto Rico in 2012 winter ball, Yasiel Puig hit a home run.

Showing His Stuff!

Before being called up to the majors, Yasiel Puig hit .328 over the course of 63 minor league games.

Someone Had To Be First

The first Major League Baseball hit Yasiel Puig ever had was hit off of Eric Stults of the Padres on June 3, 2013. This hit came in his first at bat in the big leagues.


The First Ever!

June of 2013 saw Yasiel Puig become the first player in history to win both the National League Rookie of the Month and the National League Player of the Month in the first month of his career.

Move Over, Buddy

The player who was playing right field for the Dodgers before Yasiel Puig was called up to the team, and moved to center field to make room for him, was Andre Ethier.
