Richard Sherman has made a name for himself as one of the best defensive backs in the National Football League. He’s an important part of the Seattle Seahawks and a fan favorite too. As one of the more outspoken players in the league, he’s famous far outside his team’s city too.

Ain’t That The Truth!

As a senior at Manuel Dominguez High School, Richard Sherman’s fellow students voted him “Male Student Most Likely To Succeed”.

State Title!

Richard Sherman was named a USA Today All-American in track after he won the California state title in the Triple Jump.


Richard Sherman joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2011, the same year that his college teammate Doug Baldwin joined the team.

That First Touchdown!

Richard Sherman’s first touchdown in the National Football League came in a 58-0 win over the Cardinals in 2012 when he picked off a pass thrown by John Skelton and returned it 19 yards for the score.

That First Quarterback Sack!

The first NFL quarterback who would be sacked by Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman was Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets.
