Jimmy Graham is one of the most physically imposing tight ends in the National Football League. He got his start with the New Orleans Saints and then moved on to star with the Seattle Seahawks. Between his size and his impressive athleticism, it’s no wonder so many teams don’t look forward to playing against him.

Here are five fun facts about tight end Jimmy Graham:

Jimmy Graham’s College Career

Jimmy Graham attended the University of Miami and even though he was eventually drafted into the National Football League, he actually played four seasons of basketball for the school and only played football during his final year of college.

Double Hurricanes

As a rookie in 2010, Jimmy Graham was a backup tight end for the New Orleans Saints. The starter was a fellow former Miami Hurricanes player, Jeremy Shockey.

The Most Touchdowns!

2013 saw Jimmy Graham notch 16 receiving touchdowns while playing with the Saints. That was the most TD receptions in the league that year.

Jimmy Graham’s First Seahawks Touchdown

In the fourth quarter of a Week 1 loss to the Rams in 2015, Jimmy Graham caught his first touchdown reception as a member of the Seahawks. It came from seven yards out and was thrown by Russell Wilson. Side note: There was no extra point kick following the touchdown as teammate Marshawn Lynch ran the ball in for a two point conversion.

First 100 Yard Game

In a loss to the Panthers on October 18, 2015, Jimmy Graham had his first 100 yard game for the Seahawks when he caught eight balls for 140 yards.
