Fans sure have latched on to Marshawn Lynch in recent years, and it is not too difficult to see just why that is. He runs hard, has a good speed, is adept at catching balls out of the backfield and gives his all each time he steps on the field. Another trait of his that the fans love is that he is extremely hard to tackle. Watching Marshawn Lynch run the ball is the quickest way to be turned into a Marshawn Lynch fan. Here are five fun facts about this great player.

First Games Ever

In his first NFL game, a Bills loss to the Broncos in 2007, Marshawn Lynch gained 90 yards on 19 carries and scored a touchdown. In his first game with the Seahawks, a Seattle win over Chicago, he gained 44 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown.

A Now Familiar Face

Prior to joining the Seahawks in 2010, Marshawn Lynch played against Seattle one time while playing for the Bills. In that Bills victory, he carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards and a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 18 yards.

A Long Wait

Marshawn Lynch went 18 games in a row without breaking the 100 yard rushing mark to start his stint with the Seahawks. He joined the team before Week 5 of the 2010 season and had his first 100 yard rushing game for Seattle in the eighth game of the 2011 season when he gained 135 yards in a loss to the Cowboys.

The First To Throw One To Him

The first QB to throw a TD pass to Marshawn Lynch in the NFL was Trent Edwards of the Bills. The first Seahawks QB to throw a TD pass to him was Tarvaris Jackson.

10 Straight

During the 2011 NFL season, Marshawn Lynch set a new Seattle team record for most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown. He did it for 10 straight games which broke the previous record of nine that had been set by Shaun Alexander in 2005.
